Boiceville (hamlet in Town of Olive, Ulster County)

Boiceville was called the "Gateway to the Catskills", sitting at narrow pass in the mountains along the Esopus Creek. The hamlet was a busy stop on the Ulster & Delaware Turnpike, and later the U&D Railroad. Construction of the Ashokan Reservoir forced the relocation of the hamlet several miles to the northwest, close to the community of Cold Brook.
