PARK POINT OR MINNESOTA POINT AND DULUTH HARBOR
It is hard to realize that the output of pig iron in the. United
States in 1916 was greater in tonnage than
the world's total output only twenty-five years ago. Duluth's
ore and grain shipments last year gave it a greater outgoing tonnage
than any other two ports in the world. The bridge shown in this
picture is the only one of its kind in the United States. It is
365 feet long and 185 feet high, and spans the harbor entrance
to "The Zenith City of the Unsalted Sea," as
the mineral metropolis calls itself.
